Dr. Lora Scarboro, DVM
Dr. Lora Scarboro was born and raised in the great state of West Virginia (Let’s Go Mountaineers!). She attended West Virginia University for her undergraduate education, but then made her way to Georgia to attend the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine to fulfill her dream of becoming a veterinarian. While in Athens, she met her husband and decided to permanently become a Georgia girl. Dr. Scarboro always knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Growing up, her grandfather had a farm where she was exposed to all different types of animals– dogs, cats, cattle, and various wildlife.. She could often be found asking her parents to bring home ‘just one more kitten’, or requesting to care for injured wildlife she had found. Dr. Scarboro currently resides in Flowery Branch with her husband, two young sons, and their sweet chocolate lab, Charlee. In her spare time, she loves spending quality time with her family outdoors, going on weekend excursions, cooking, reading, and exploring local breweries.
